Dr. Kuniko Inoguchi is currently serving as the Japanese Minister of State for Gender Equality and Social Affairs. She is also an executive member of the Japan Association for International Relations. She served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, Switzerland, from April 2003 to April 2004. From August to December 2003, she also served as President to the Conference on Disarmament.
