Josefine Durazo, MPIA 2008

Josefine Durazo grew up in Las Vegas and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs, fluency in Spanish and Portuguese, and a well-nourished wanderlust. She worked at NASA Headquarters as their Latin America specialist – negotiating agreements, handling cooperation with the region, and even seeing an occasional shuttle/satellite launch. Afterwards, she lived and worked in Manaus, Brazil, helping coordinate bilateral cooperation efforts on a large Amazon research project. She is now working towards a Masters in Pacific International Affairs at IRPS and hopes her focus on international environmental policy will lead to even more adventures and another rewarding career.
