As a follow up to his talk on emissions trading and climate change, Pacific Leadership Fellow Andrew Robb will offer a student roundtable to further examine these issues. In this format, students will have the opportunity to participate in a back-and-forth, informal discussion with Mr. Robb.
Lunch will be provided to the first 15 students who R.S.V.P. Additional students are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch.
Andrew Robb is Australia's Federal Member for Goldstein, currently serving as the Shadow Minister for Infrastructure and the Council of Australian Governments. He is also the Shadow Minister Assisting the Leader on Emissions Trading Design, and he is considered to be one of the major bipartisan leaders on foreign policy. He spent the early part of his career in agricultural economics with the Department of Agriculture, Victoria, before serving as Executive Director of the Cattle Council of Australia and later the executive director of the National Farmers’ Federation. Robb served as Federal Director and Campaign Director of the Liberal Party, and he was elected to the Federal seat of Goldstein in October 2004. Robb was appointed to his current positions in September 2008. Robb has been awarded the Office of the Order of Australia and Centenary Medal for his service to agriculture, politics and the community.
